of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF)
Access and Use of Agricultural Equipment and Mechanization through the Use of
Labor Saving Technologies Project
Station: Entebbe, Uganda
to: Assistant Project Engineer

of Uganda (GoU) through the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and
Fisheries (MAAIF) is implementing the Improving Access and Use of Agricultural
Equipment and Mechanization through the Use of Labor Saving Technologies
Project.
Responsible for the day to day works operations of
the unit;
In charge of drawing daily schedules in consultation
with the Assistant Project Engineer and documenting daily activities;
Ensuring that all the equipment are in good working
condition;
Ensuring that the machines are serviced, oiled,
cleaned, washed and are always parked well;
Carry out minor repairs for machines are carried out
as per the manufactures schedule;
Ensuring that the Log books for each machine are in
order;
Responsible for Stores records and ledgers;
Preparing and submitting weekly reports on field
work activities;
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the
Assistant Project Engineer from time to time.
Experience:
All applicants should be Ugandans who hold an
Ordinary Diploma in any of the following fields: Agricultural Engineering/Civil
Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or
institution.
At least five years working experience in the field
of Agricultural/Civil or Mechanical Engineering in Government or equivalent
level of experience from a reputable organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Self-motivated and self-driven;
Ability to work and reside under field/rural conditions;
Highly computer literate;
