to implement an anticipated USAID-funded integrated health services project in
Northern Uganda. The project will work to increase utilization of HIV /AIDS,
MNCH, nutrition and TB services.
of Party in providing overall direction and support to all technical aspects of
the USAID FHI 360 project.
Provide technical leadership, Technical Assistance
and capacity building to strengthen integrated service delivery.
Mentor and supervise a team of expert technical staff
responsible for day-to-day guidance and oversight of project activities in order
to achieve project targets
Produce tools and materials to strengthen the
capacity of staff and local partners to deliver quality integrated services
Actively monitor field activities and ensure timely
completion of objectives
Work closely with technical backstops in FHI 360
Headquarters
Produce and present papers at local, regional and
international fora to share experiences and emerging best practices
Mentor and supervise a team of technical staff for
the project and ensure clear roles and responsibilities and lines of
communication are maintained amongst the team members.
Develop/produce contractual deliverables (quarterly,
annual, field project evaluations, etc.) in conjunction with other key staff
and external evaluators
Stay abreast with the latest trends in global,
regional and national developments in the field of HIV / AIDS services
Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a PhD, MD or
similar degree
A minimum of ten years’ experience implementing and
providing technical assistance to integrated health service delivery programs
Previous experience in private sector engagement
preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills
Prior exposure and experience working with the
Ugandan health sector is required
Detailed knowledge and understanding of the Northern
Region Uganda preferred
Proven ability to create and maintain effective
working relations with MOH personnel, NGO partners, and U.S. and foreign
government organizations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage a high
volume work flow
Proficient in computer skills i.e. working knowledge
of basic office applications.
