Procurement Audit and Investigations
Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) is established under
the PPDA Act No.1 of 2003 to formulate policies and regulate procurement and disposal
practices in respect of all procuring and disposing entities which include
Central Government Ministries and Departments, Local Governments, State
Enterprises, Constitutional and Statutory Bodies and Post Primary Training
Institutions.
Procurement Audit and Investigations Officer will mainly implement procurement
audits and investigations in accordance with the agreed work plans and
procedures.
Prepare procurement audit plans for review by the Manager
Procurement Audit and Investigations Officer.
Carry out procurement audits in accordance with the
agreed procedures.
Consolidate reports on procurement audits and submit
to the respective supervisor for review.
Manage procurement and disposal audits.
Supervise filing, storage and retrieval of all
records and documents relating to the various PDEs audited.
Compile and prepare consolidated quarterly progress
reports.
Prepare investigation plans for review by the
respective supervisor
Carry out investigations, gather exhibits and review
relevant reports and documentation.
Prepare draft investigation reports to be reviewed
by the supervisor.
Manage the consultancies which may be contracted
from time to time to support the Authority in the execution of its
investigations.
Perform any other duties as delegated by the Manager.
The applicants for the Senior Procurement Audit and Investigations
Officer vacancies should hold an Honours degree in Procurement, Engineering,
Commerce, Law, Economics or Social Sciences.
Possession of Post graduate professional
qualifications in Procurement, Accounting, Audit such as CIPS, ACCA, CPA is mandatory.
Credits in both Mathematics and English at O’ Level.
At least three years relevant experience from a
reputable organization.
Detailed knowledge of the Uganda Public Procurement
laws is a requirement.
Prior experience of at least 1 year in Auditing

Excellent analytical and investigative skills
Advanced report writing skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
