Administration Manager
Families against HIV/AIDS (PREFA) is an indigenous Non-Governmental
Organization (NGO) that was formed to contribute to Uganda’s efforts in enhancing
access to quality HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment, and support services to
families with a historical focus on Elimination of Mother-to-Child Transmission
(eMTCT) of HIV.
Accountant will render support to the Finance and Administration Manager in the
finance function for the smooth operation of PREFA’s programs and activities.
Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a B.Com or BBA
(Accounting), or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
Professional qualification; ACCA, CPA or CIMA is a must. Possession of a Master’s
degree in management is desired
A minimum of five or more years’ experience in
accounting and financial management; 3 of which should have been at Senior
Accountant level.
Comprehensive knowledge of donor financial
accounting procedures (multi-donor reporting) e.g. CDC/USAID, DFID rules and
regulations and clear understanding of Government of Uganda accounting
requirements.
Financial management skills
Good budgeting skills
Excellent auditing skills.
Proven management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good communication skills.
Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and at
least two accounting packages (including QuickBooks).
High degree of integrity and personality
Highly organised, Exemplary character.
