Manager
Publications Limited, a Nation Media Group Company is Uganda’s most influential
media house, operating The Daily Monitor, Saturday Monitor and Sunday Monitor
newspapers, 93.3KFM, 90.4 Dembe FM, Nation Couriers and the Monitor Business
Directory.
Officer will be charged with positioning and enhancing the Monitor Publications
Limited’s corporate image through consistent, clear and effective internal and
external communication.
Build and strengthen working relationships with
communities Manage and all MPL stake holders to identify the best collaboration
opportunities within the agreed MPL strategic Corporate Responsibility areas to
enhance and build MPL’s corporate image.
Present to CSR stakeholders and manage BTL
activities to develop sustainable projects Organize corporate events for MPL,
sensitize and create awareness on the Company’s Special Projects like Thought
Leaders’ Forum, Full Woman Health camp among others
Oversee all internal communication through
newsletters, write-ups, staff communication meetings, team building sessions
and client intimacy programmes arnel provide forum for staff to respond and
contribute, to MPL CSR activities
The incumbent will also manage the MPL Front Desk
and ensure efficient customer service for all MPL clients
Profiles MPL through positive editorial content and
broadcasting of MPL’s business, social and charitable events
Manage adverse publicity against MPL effectively and
promptly to minimize impact on the corporate image
Ensure protocol is observed in all corporate
functions.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Marketing
Manager.

CSR Calendar of the year
Staff communication meetings
Deadlines control: Zero tolerance
Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a bachelor’s
degree in Mass Communication. Professional qualification or postgraduate
diploma in Marketing, PR or Communication will be an added advantage
At least three to five years’ experience in PR or
communication in a busy environment at senior level
Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in PowerPoint,
Word and Spreadsheets.
Excellent communication (oral & written) and
interpersonal skills
Results oriented attitude
Innovative and creative with very high persona!
Integrity
Ability to develop and communicate a clear plan
Business acumen
Ability to manage and coach a team
