regulate the Generation, Transmission, Sale, Export, Import and Distribution of
electrical energy in Uganda.

Job Summary: The Assistant
Financial Analyst will support the Financial Analyst in analyzing the financial
performance of Licensees and validate Licensees’ investments. The incumbent
will also ensure timely invoicing and filing of statutory obligations.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct
financial analysis of applications for permits and licenses. - In
charge of carrying out financial performance analysis of Licensees on a
quarterly basis. - Conduct
financial analysis of UEB successor company budgets on an annual basis. - Regularly
review Investment Plans of Licensees and conduct an audit of the investments
on a quarterly basis. - Carry-out
filing of all statutory obligations. - Promptly
issue invoices to Licensees. - Perform
any other official duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Financial
Analyst.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicants for the Assistant Financial Analyst vacancy should hold an Honours
degree in Commerce (Finance), Business Administration (Finance) or
Financial Economics from a formally recognized institution. - Possession
of Professional qualification such as ACCA Stage II or CPA stage III. - At
least two years’ experience in a busy organization. - Ability
to use any of the common Computerized Accounting packages such as Sun
Systems, Sage Accounting, Pastel and QuickBooks - Proficiency
in relevant Computer packages including basic Excel and Microsoft Word - Excellent
analytical skills - Good
Communication skills - Excellent
interpersonal skills - Age: Below 30 years of age.
