Develop, maintain and implement Pride’s recovery
policies procedures and strategies.
The incumbent will ensure the recovery of delinquent
and written off loans and exited staff liabilities.
He /she will keep a record of all cases received and
make follow up on the cases; and make periodic reports to Manager Legal.
Actively monitor performance of each debtor and/or
his/her guarantors to; investigate late payments, demand payment or ask for the
client formal written commitment to pay the outstanding amount, and/or inform
them of the actions that Pride may take in case they failure to adhere to
agreed terms.
Participate in the training of staff in recovery
techniques.
Expeditiously follow up on sale of collateral and
generally ensure that the loan recovery process is done in line with Pride’s
policy.
Stay abreast with changes in legislation, national and local
trends wherever Pride’s operations are located.
Ensure that necessary orders/ warrants are obtained
in order to attach assets where necessary, and liaise with the police to
facilitate the prosecution of the defaulters.
Regularly review client loan files in consultation
with the Manager Legal and determine the different actions that can be taken
against the client to ensure repayment.
Receive and review the client loan files for
completeness before recovery efforts can commence.
Work closely with police, LCs and/or external debt
collectors to facilitate the follow-up and/or prosecution of the defaulters.
Perform any other duties as may be requested by the
supervisor from the Manager Legal
Experience:
The applicants should preferably hold a Diploma in
Law from LDC or any other Diploma in a Law enforcement field.
At least a year’s working experience in debt
collection or law enforcement.
Good emotional intelligence
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good report writing skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
High business acumen
Computer knowledge
Self-starter
