Job Summary: The Financial
Accountant supports financial decision-making information by collecting,
analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Prepares and submits monthly statements by
collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data,
information, and trends
·        
Prepares monthly and annual statements by assembling
data.
·        
Quickly responds to financial inquiries by
gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
·        
Provides financial support by studying operational
issues; applying financial principles and practices; developing
recommendations.
·        
Prepares and submits reports for management by
studying variances; preparing budgets; developing forecasts.
·        
Maintain the general ledger and conduct account
reconciliations
·        
Mentor and supervise a junior accountant
·        
Updates job knowledge by keeping current with
financial regulations and accepted practices; participating in educational
opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional
organizations.
·        
Accomplishes finance and organization mission by
completing related results as needed.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicant should hold an accounting, Finance or
Economics degree or Qualified Accountant
·        
A minimum of two to five years’ experience in a
similar position
·        
GAAP knowledge
·        
Business Knowledge
·        
Skills in managing profitability
·        
Good accounting, audit and financial skills
·        
Excellent analytical skills and information
·        
Reporting Research Results, Research Skills
·        
Excellent statistical analytical skills
·        
Computer literacy i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Excel,
Word and PowerPoint skills.
·        
Exercise discretion and maintain confidential
information.
·        
Excellent communication skills and seeking advice
where communication and flow of data is incomplete and inaccurate.
·        
Deadline-Oriented
