Products (U) Ltd. was set up in 1992 as a small unit for manufacturing biscuits
and bread. A confectionery unit was added to this in 1998. To utilize the
abundant natural resources of fruits and vegetables in the country, Britania
Foods (U) Ltd., a modern fruit and vegetable processing unit blossomed into
existence in mid 1995. In late 2002, Britania Products and Britania Foods
merged and a new entity Britania Allied Industries Ltd. was instituted. The
Corporate Office and the factory remained in Ntinda Industrial Area in Kampala,
a contributory factor being the land owned by the company and available for
expansion.
Manager will be responsible for establishing a harmonious working relationship
with the assigned clients thus necessitating being in touch with them on a day
to day basis.
Develop sales strategies to drive sales growth with
the assigned customers.
Develop and manage an efficient distribution network
to improve sales performance.
Manage the assigned Sales Executive for sales growth
and revenue enhancement
Initiates and coordinates development of action
plans to penetrate new markets and bring new customers on board.
Sends timely feedback to senior management regarding
performance.
Carries out market research to understand
competitors and market trends.
Provide innovative ideas and suggestions to improve
the market presence.
Coordinate with the Regional Manager to enhance
sales performance.
Build and maintain a working relationship with
existing assigned customers for repeat business.
Build sales culture among the team members.
Send feedback to the sales personnel regarding their
sales performance.
Provide trainings, educational workshops and
challenging opportunities for enhancing career growth of employees.
Attend business plan review meetings with the entire
sales team.
The incumbent will appreciate the contributions and
accomplishments of sales employees through proper rewarding mechanism.
Develop performance improvement plan for Sales
Executive.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and
business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated in time and
implemented within the team
The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Marketing or BCom Marketing.
A minimum of two to three years professional
experience in FMCG’s
Customer oriented approach
Skills and experience in brand building
Good planning and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
Excellent commercial knowledge and market analysis
techniques
Good communication and negotiation skills
High level of integrity
Result-oriented
Excellent computer skills.
