Job Summary: The LWF Program Officer (Humanitarian
Operations) will oversee the Implementation of LWF/DWS Uganda Emergency

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The
incumbent will serves as the Program Officer for the sector toolkits;
including implementing the project work plan to meet target completion
dates, facilitating interdepartmental coordination, as well as planning
and facilitating required review processes; - Keenly
tracks, coordinates and reviews development of tools across program
sectors and many technical focal points to achieve consistency and
standardization in accordance with technical unit and emergency response
standards; - Build
and strengthen partnerships with different humanitarian actors at the
National Level; - In
charge of establishing and ensuring regular back-up of management
information systems (MIS) database and electronic documents; - In
charge of the preparation and submission of periodic reports as per the
different need and donor requirements; - The
Program Officer will facilitate knowledge management and information sharing;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for the LWF Program Officer (Humanitarian Operations)
should hodl a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Community
or Development Studies from a recognized Institution - A
minimum of three or more years’ experience in designing and implementing
activities related to emergency response - Past
job experience in humanitarian organisations working with vulnerable
groups - Possess
the ability to work with limited supervisions and under stress situation
to meet tight deadlines - Excellent
documentation and communications skills - Working
knowledge and understanding of national and global frameworks, standards
and human rights instruments - Flexible
approach to working hours and ability to travel both in-country and abroad
