Job Summary:   The
Shipping Supervisor will oversee the loading inspection operations, validate
the company’s operational certificates/licenses in the entire supply chain in
line with the organization shipping guidelines and documentation management
process
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Issue
    export documents in line with the buyer’s specification and required
    timelines
  • Routinely
    inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping
    specifications, and seals on truck doors in line with shipping guidelines.
  • Ensure
    product sale registration with regulatory authorities is done on time in
    accordance with regulatory framework
  • Regularly
    verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare items
    for shipment and ensure timely submission of customs documents in line
    with records management guidelines
  • Determine
    routing and legal load limits of trucks, in accordance with established
    schedules and weight limits of states and issue loading orders for
    stuffing.
  • In
    charge of preparing UCDA, CESS, ACE/WIS & fumigation provisions in line
    supportive structures for the same.
  • Validate
    draft bills of lading from shipping lines and agents as per buyers
    requirements
  • Checking
    of invoices for inland & ocean freight from service providers and post
    weight and shipping charges.
  • Ensure
    validation of company operational certificates/licenses and
    monitoring/managing expiry/renewal procedures.
  • Manage
    daily export data and compile records of unfilled orders.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant should preferably hold a Degree in a Business related course
    from a reputable Higher Institution of Learning. Degree in Procurement and
    Logistics is an added advantage.
  • A
    minimum of four or more years hands on working experience with a reputable
    Shipping line, Clearing and Forwarding or Export Company.

  • Good
    judgment and analytical skills
