Development (Uganda) is an International NGO established to address the
challenges faced by young people in Uganda by placing young people at the
forefront of change and development. Our vision is for all Ugandan youth to
live healthy and productive lives, fully supported by those around them. Our
programming focuses on three core areas: youth sexual and reproductive health
and rights, youth civic participation and youth employment and livelihoods.
educators will support the Youth Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights
Programme (YSRHP) in Iganga and Jinja and grow skills and knowledge in
programme implementation. You will be expected to reach out to in and
out-of-school youth, with comprehensive sexual reproductive health education,
livelihoods and life skills. The Volunteers will be based in the community
leading the on ground implementation of the Youth Sexual Reproductive Health
and Rights programme. He / she will also be expected to work with the existing
community structures including, sub-county government departments, youth
groups, health workers on a daily basis. The job holder will lead sessions on
SRHR, Civic Participation, and Livelihoods and organise community events.
Experience:
The Volunteers should preferably hold a minimum of
A’ Level qualification or preferably any University qualifications
Age: Between 18-28
years old
