micro-entrepreneurs who go door-to-door teaching families how to improve their
health and wealth while selling affordable, high-impact products like basic
medicines, fortified foods, water filters, clean cook stoves, and solar lights.
Job Summary: The Quality
Assurance Officer will play a focal role in ensuring the consistency and
quality of our model through careful monitoring and evaluation of branch
activity. The incumbent will inspire a strong team of Community Health
Promoters (CHPs) who are consistently delivering high quality health care to
their communities and generating sales of critical products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. CHP Selection, Training,
Certification and Re-certification:
  • Regularly
    review of CHP recruits/trainees and ensure that trainees meet the set
    criteria.
  • Technically
    support the training team to conduct quality training activities by
    ensuring timely supply and delivery of all the necessary logistics and
    supplies.
  • Organize
    annual recertification for all CHPs.
  • The
    incumbent will maintain a database for CHP certification and
    re-certification results.
  • Play
    a role in identifying quality improvement needs of the CHP and Branch
    Teams and propose in-service training topics.
  • Identify
    innovative quality improvement approaches for the activities of Living
    Goods.
2. Data Quality Audits and
Customer Care:
  • Review
    reported data from CHPs and identify outliers.
  • Carry
    out phone surveys to LG clients to verify data accuracy and assess
    customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct
    visits to select CHPs to check on phone usage and stock status.
  • Identify
    CHPs who need more targeted support by the branch teams and advise the
    branch teams accordingly.
  • Send
    regular audit and customer care reports to the Director of Health.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate for the QA vacancy should hold a Diploma or Degree in
    clinical health or health related field of study.
  • Basic
    knowledge and understanding and prior work experience on quality assurance
    and a strong plus.
  • Entrepreneurial
    spirit and drive for results.
  • Detailed
    health knowledge, and want to be part of a cutting edge team that is
    setting the mark for a how a social enterprise can improve health impacts
    in a sustainable way. 
  • Exceptional
    natural leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communications skills, both in English and Luganda
    required.
  • The
    applicant must be highly flexible and willing to travel across Uganda and
    periodically stay up-country.
  • Basic
    computer skills a must. Skills in data analysis will be an added
    advantage.
