& Marketing Officer will primarily be responsible for formulation and
implementation of strategies to meet the performance goals in areas of business
development, portfolio quality, PR & Communications plans and initiatives
that promote a positive image of Kampala Hospital.
- Responsible
for building, maintaining and managing the brand and reputation of KHL - Write
and edit press released, in-house newsletter, speeches and articles. - Maintain
and update information on KHL’s website. - In
charge of the preparation and supervision of the production of publicity
brochures, hand-outs, direct mail leaflets, promotional items, photographs
and annual reports. - Participates
in the company’s business planning and development - Manage
day to day PR issues as well as long range goals and achievements. - The
incumbent will develop tactics to better inform the public of those goals
and achievements. - Speak
in public presentations, press conferences, radio and TV interviews or
meetings. - Responsible
for developing and maintaining good working relations with the media
including national newspapers, magazines, radio and television. - Event
organization and management. - Build
community relations, through events such as open days and involvement in
community initiatives. - Leads
and manages all marketing activities related to market research, analysis,
promotion and the solicitation of prospect customers. - In
charge of collecting information on up-coming projects in the country with
the aim of turning them into good business prospects for the company. - Carries
out market and production research studies and prepares reports to
management on how to improve profitability. - Initiate
and plan Public Relations campaigns; defining goals, analyzing problems
and opportunities; liaising with management and clients both (internal and
external).
- The
PR & Marketing Officer should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing,
Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communication or the equivalent - At
least four to five years’ experience preferably in a hospital environment - Excellent
communications skills (Written, Oral & Presentation) - Fluency
in written and spoken English - Computer
literacy skills i.e. proficiency in MS Office (High Level)
