Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting Manager (UK)

secondary education’. We run the fastest growing network of sustainably
financed secondary schools in Africa. We currently have a network of 22 schools
across Uganda and Zambia, educating around 8,000 students. PEAS has recently
secured a grant from DFID as part of the Girls Education Challenge Fund, the purpose
of which is to drive learning and results for marginalised girls. PEAS is
supported by major corporate, government and private funders and our innovative
financial model is pioneering in the field of public private partnerships in
development education.
will be responsible for working with the PEAS UK M&E team to oversee the
monitoring and evaluation of PEAS Uganda’s activities, operations, and impact.
He / she will be responsible for working with the PEAS Uganda Deputy Country
Director – Programmes and the PEAS UK M,E&R Manager to set the Uganda
M&E team’s strategy and work plan, and to oversee the completion of tasks.
Alongside the Uganda M&E Officer, they will also be responsible for undertaking
on-going data collection, analysis and reporting responsibilities, including
the generation of reports for internal and external audiences on the status of
established indicators for a sub-set of schools within the PEAS network.
The
applicant for the PEAS UK job opportunity should preferably possess a good
Bachelor degree (preferably in statistics, economics, international development
or similar)
At
least five years’ M&E experience at managerial level, preferably in the development
sector
Excellent
project management experience, with experience leading teams to deliver complex
projects
Excellent
data-handling and processing skills, including ability to work with Excel and
statistical packages
Excellent
report writing, communication, and presentation skills; proficient in MS Word
and PowerPoint
Strong
people management skills with evidenced experience
Excellent
analytical skills, with ability to synthesize large volumes of information and
draw out key findings
Detailed
working knowledge of environment and current effective practice on monitoring
& evaluation
High
degree of flexibility to travel throughout Uganda
Ability
to interact positively with students and young children
Ability
to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
