Key
Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
In
charge of the development and implementation of the annual audit plans approved
by the Board.
·        
Offer
expert advice, support and recommendations to management and staff on a range
of complex internal audit, compliance, audit and risk management matters, in
accordance with established company/government policies and procedures,
legislative requirements and professional standards.
·        
Oversee
the liaison of the internal audit unit with the external auditors
·        
Lead,
develop and motivate staff in the audit department to provide the appropriate
skills necessary to conduct efficient and effective internal audits.
·        
Regularly
review and update the company’s audit policies and procedures in keeping with
emerging trends and successful practices in internal auditing.
·        
Manage
the continuous assessment of risks inherent in the institution and develop
mitigating measures
·        
Carry
out special audit inspections and examinations at the request of the Board.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience: 
·        
The
ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
university. Minimum of a 2.1 (an Upper Second Degree).
·        
Possession
of Professional accounting qualification such as CIA, ACCA or CPA or
equivalent.
·        
At
least five years’ professional experience in Auditing
·        
Audit
experience in a similar environment is an added advantage.
·        
Computer
literacy skills i.e. knowledge of Microsoft office packages
·        
Excellent
analytical skills
·        
Ability
to communicate effectively both orally and written.
·        
Ability
to work under minimum supervision.
·        
Ability
to deliver results with and through teams.
·        
Ability
to pursue high standards in line with agreed organizational values and
standards of professionalism.
·        
Ability
to focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
