Job Title:  Head of Security
Organization: City Parents’ School
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
About US:
City Parents’ School is a Nursery and
Primary institution registered by the Ministry of Education and Sports. The
school has an estimated pupil population of 3400 and staff population of about
180 employees. The school accommodates a multi-cultural combination of pupils
from various countries, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
The
incumbent will lead the Security Section, and work in close partnership with
contracted security firms.
·        
Provide
overall guidance and direction to the Section.
·        
Routinely
inform managerial decisions and choices.
·        
Ensure
security of persons, their property and the entire establishment
·        
Build
and strengthen networks with relevant security agencies to the benefit of the
school.
·        
Actively
monitor the school’s environment, and proactively ensure that appropriate
security measures are in place.
·        
Effectively
manage authorized entrance to and exit from the premises, including control of
traffic flows.
·        
Attend
meetings, convene meetings, manage documentation and reports.
·        
Build
capacity of subordinates in section, motivate and empower them to excel In
their performance.
·        
Perform
any other security related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The
applicant must hold a diploma level qualification in Management/Administration.
·        
A
minimum of three years’ experience in Senior Managerial/Administrative
position.
·        
The
Head of Security should hold an A’ Level certificate with at least 2 principle
passes.
·        
Background
training in security with Police and/or Army
·        
Possess
a recommendation letter from institution of training, and/or, if discharged, a
copy of discharge certificate.
·

High

·        
Excellent

·
