Manager will support Diageo in deriving
consumer focused insights to inform the development of brand strategy,
positioning, activity and implementation and work with advertising agencies to
ensure the impact of advertising campaigns is maximized through the use of the
most appropriate range of media and delivers return on investment
Oversee
and interpret market and brand data including trends, portfolio planning and
manage brand tracking.
Work
in liaison with the innovation team, develop, test and evaluate new concepts,
products and brand extensions for the market.
Deploy
an effective media plan that delivers on brand objectives and develop a
seamless interface between brand teams and media agency.
Implement
measures to evaluate media buying, performance and financial return.
Ensure
compliance with safety requirements at the work environment.
Develop
strategies to ensure that campaigns reach their target audience as effectively
as possible and work with press, tv, radio, new media and digital teams to
drive brand positioning and equity
Manage
agency and 3rd party relationships to ensure they deliver in line with UBL’s
business objectives and their contractual obligations
Technically
support the procurement team to identify media companies and negotiate
rates to obtain most competitive
prices.
Actively
monitor and optimize effectiveness of campaigns
Experience:
The
ideal candidate for the Diageo Consumer Planning & Media Manager vacancy
should hold a Bachelor of Commerce or related degree or MBA.
Possession
of CIM Diploma is mandatory
At
least five years’ marketing experience in a FMCG environment, with experience
in planning and finance, agency management, budget management, cross-functional
project management and management of direct reports.
A
minimum of three years’ market research experience
Excellent
project management skills
Possess
the ability to develop credibility with clients and lead projects
Excellent
analytical skills and ability to organize presentations in a thorough and
compelling manner
