The Uganda Institute of Banking
& Financial Services (UIBFS) is a Membership organisation comprising of:
Corporate members, (all clearing banks in Uganda), Associate member
institutions, Fellows, Associates, Ordinary and Student members, who all make
annual subscriptions for running of the Institute. The Governor of Bank of
Uganda, is the Patron of the Institute.
& Financial Services (UIBFS) is a Membership organisation comprising of:

institutions, Fellows, Associates, Ordinary and Student members, who all make
annual subscriptions for running of the Institute. The Governor of Bank of
Uganda, is the Patron of the Institute.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In
charge of the day to day management of the Institute. - The
incumbent will serve as the Chief Accounting Officer of the Institute. - Ensures
proper implementation and management of Board Policies. - The
CEO will ensure that the Strategic Plan is properly implemented - Ensures
relevant and high quality training programmes. - The
incumbent will ensure business growth and continuity. - Ensures
a productive, vibrant and motivated workforce. - Ensures
security of the Institute assets. - Send
regular updates to the Board on the performance of the Institute. - In
the absence of an appointed secretary, the CEO acts as secretary to the
Board of Directors.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for the CEO placement must hold a post graduate
qualification in a business related field and/or banking qualification. - At
least ten years’ work experience in commercial banking with at least 5 years
in a senior management role. - Past
experience managing a multicultural team. - Computer
literacy skills i.e. working knowledge of Microsoft office packages. - Possess
the ability to pursue high standards in line with agreed organizational
values and standards of professionalism. - Ability
to communicate effectively both orally and written. - Ability
to work under minimum supervision. - Ability
to drive and deliver results with and through teams.
