humane management of migration, to promote international cooperation on
migration issues, to assist in the search for practical solutions to migration
problems and to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants in need, including
refugees and internally displaced people. Since 1988, IOM Uganda mission
performs all of its interventions with the specific mandate to work globally
with migration related issues. We are committed to the principle that humane
and orderly migration benefits migrants and society. IOM Uganda works with the
government of Uganda, NGOs and UN agencies and receives support from donor
governments and UN funds.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
General clerical work and photocopying all medical
forms from various countries.
·        
In charge of registration of bio-data for all
pre-screening medical forms;
·        
Updating and maintaining the filing system of copies
of all medical records and updating files for archive
·        
In charge of implementing and maintaining records of
transfer of medical documents from various sections and departments.
·        
Carrying out work related errands which include taking
applicants to hospitals and other health facilities for specialized treatment
and follow ups as recommended by the treating consultants.
·        
Delivering specimens, laboratory requests, files and
IOM referral notes to referral laboratories or Embassy as well as picking lab
results and reports on behalf of IOM laboratory technician
·        
Coordinating and organizing appointments for
applicants with the DPA and handling inquiries and incoming requests. .
·        
In charge of tracing of medical records and x-rays
for follow-up and preparation of medical travel packages;
·        
Support transmission of x-ray films and files for
reporting and transmission:
o   Compression of
CXR images and uploading to respective folders
o   Uploading of
CXR images to E-medical system
o   Following up
for additional views requested with Telerad.
o   In charge of printing
CXR reports and handling them over to Chief Nurse
o   In charge of cross
checking for errors in applicants bio-data
o   Uploading
images to Nairobi PAX System
o   Sending name
list to Nairobi for quality check (QC) and as well as receiving them back
o   Serve as a
focal person for Telerad and Nairobi PAX System.
o   Send UKTB
images to doctor for reporting

Perform any other duty within the incumbent’s
capabilities as assigned by the Supervisors.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The ideal candidate for the International
Organization for Migration IOM MHAC Clerk should have completed a Secondary
School diploma from an accredited academic institution
·        
A minimum of three years extensive experience in a
busy institution, preferably a medical institution Computer literacy in Windows
is mandatory.
·        
Working knowledge of Mimosa and/or other health data
applicants is an added advantage.
·        
Previous secretarial and archival experience is an
added advantage.
·        
Active team player, able to work under pressure and
to carry out tasks with attention to detail and instructions
·        
Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, good
communication skills and able to work effectively and harmoniously with
colleagues from various cultures and professional backgrounds.
·        
Past exposure and  working experience with NGOs or international
organizations will be an added advantage.
·        
English fluency is required. Multiple languages is
an added advantage
