Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is an international not for profit NGO, with its
Headquarters based in Los Angeles, California. Aids Health Care Foundation is
registered in Uganda as Aids Health Care Foundation – Uganda Cares (AHF-UC)
which is collaboration between the Uganda Ministry of Health and AIDS
Healthcare Foundation (U.S.A) to provide free HIV/AIDS services; including
antiretroviral therapy in resource constrained settings.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
In charge of receiving deliveries including
supplies/commodities and then verifies them against documentation.
·        
Ensuring timely dispatch & adequate packaging
of commodities to facilitate safe delivery to destined healthcare centres.
·        
Ensure the timely update of inventory management
tools i.e. goods received note, stock/bin cards, Tally inventory software and
generate inventory reports
·        
Reconcile invoices, delivery notes with the
physical count and notify the supervisor immediately in case of any
discrepancies.
·        
Provide relevant information to management on the
status of inventory in the stores especially slow moving commodities.
·        
Actively coordinate and supervise all store staff
(casuals) assigned to do various activities in the store.
·        
Participate in forecasting of supplies including
drugs, equipment and laboratory reagents.
·        
Perform any other duties as assigned by the
supervisor
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
·        
The Stores Assistant should preferably hold a Diploma
in Supplies Chain and Stores Management, Procurement or equivalent relevant
qualification.
·        
At least two years’ experience working in stores
or ware house.
·        
Past experience in pharmaceutical warehousing is
an added advantage.
·        
Professional computer skills, including Microsoft Word,
Excel, Internet, and Email
·        
Possess the ability to read and interpret
documents pertaining to packaging, supplies, shipment and deliveries.
·        
Ability to communicate well with vendors and other
relevant individuals.
