Job Summary:  The
Manager Change Services will oversee and guide the process of addressing
business challenges through clear articulation of business problems and opportunities.
The incumbent will be responsible for the designing practical business
solutions and implementing solutions in a disciplined and structured manner
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
1. Strategic Execution:
  • The
    job holder will be in charge of researching, developing and implementing
    interventions to continuously improve the Continuous Improvement area, in
    co-ordination with the Manager Enablement & Change, with a view of
    ensuring efficient and effective functioning & high level of service
    within Change Services.
  • The
    incumbent also aligns processes and procedures to ensure the achievement
    of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) signed with the various business
    units and customers and ensure that the Change Services function continues
    to meet and exceed the customers’ needs
2. Customer and Business Partner Relationship Management:
  • Implements
    initiatives to improve customer satisfaction ratings
  • Actively
    engages in required alignments to ensure the delivery of the Customer
    Value Proposition, Service Level Agreements and benchmark targets to
    ensure alignment to these requirements
3. Cost Management:
  • Develops
    and implements initiatives to reduce costs and ensure that budgets for the
    Continuous Improvement area are met
  • Ensures
    that throughput is maximised throughout the Change Services area by
    implementing principles Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma
  • Ensures
    effective, efficient and optimal utilisation of all resources (human and
    capital) to be responsive to competitive pressures, changing market
    conditions, client needs and business strategies
4. Resource Utilisation: Ensure optimal utilization and value for money of the assets the bank
invests in.
5. Operational Performance:
  • Identifies
    and defines tactical operational performance metrics geared towards meeting
    the Continuous Improvement area’s objectives by leveraging opportunities
  • The
    Change Manager will work collaboratively with other areas through
    continuous interactions to ensure that best practices are implemented and
    a standard approach is followed
6. Control:
  • Identifies,
    assesses and mitigates the risks facing both systems and business
    processes thereby minimising the operational risks
  • Works
    closely with business stakeholders in ensuring that regulatory, group
    policy standards and minimum operating procedures are observed to minimise
    the Bank’s exposure to risk
7. Self-Development:
  • Identifies
    appropriate formal and occupational (informal) training needs and courses
    (internal/external) to develop oneself
  • Up-Skills
    oneself regarding new products and procedures through attendance of
    workshops/presentations and reading of internal and external
    communications.
8. People Management:
  • Training
    – Ensure all the resources in the team are skilled appropriately to meet
    the demands of the job
  • Performance
    Management – recognize & reward performance appropriately
  • Management
    of poor performance
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate for the Stanbic Bank Change Manager career opportunity
    should hold a Business management or commercial degree
  • Hold
    applicable professional certifications
  • Good
    knowledge and understanding of corporate banking and retail bank network
    and interface between frontline service, responsive sales and support
    functions
  • Comprehensive
    understanding of banking transaction processes relevant to products and
    services offered to customers
  • Practical
    knowledge of how to in-put, access and utilize information to analyze
    forecast trends
  • Working
    knowledge and principles of capacity management in terms of resource
    options, availability and costs
  • Working
    knowledge of cost management principles and practices
  • Knowledge
    of security management principles and practices
  • Experience
    in researching and analysing processes
  • Prior
    experience in identification and resolution of process bottlenecks
  • Past
    experience in management of complex operations, ideally within the
    financial service sector
