Job Summary: The Standard Chartered Bank Relationship
Manager – Local Corporates will support LC (Local Corporates) and CTA
(Commodity Traders & Agribusiness) segment in origination, structuring and
execution of complex, value-added and strategic transactions to achieve deeper
client penetration and to improve risk/return profile.  The incumbent will also work closely with
the  LC/CTA RM teams to understand specific
client needs and identify opportunities through idea generation and mindshare.  He/ she will also act as the enabler in
delivery of value added products (CF, CM and FM etc) as part of overall
solution to clients, and up-tier client relationships via such multi-product
solutions.  The incumbent will
significantly contribute to account planning sessions and ensure product suite
has been scoped keeping in mind client business requirements and deal
potential.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for idea and deal generation via interface with regional LC/CTA teams
    and with relevant product partners.
  • Oversee
    and/or guide multi-disciplinary deal teams to structure and execute complex
    and strategic transactions.
  • Manage
    and regularly review work in the assigned deal team; provide inputs to
    ensure quality of sales pitches, and help front such pitches to the
    clients.
  • Work
    in liaison with RMs to facilitate on-going identification of
    opportunities.
  • Actively
    engage with team heads in identifying opportunities.
  • Identify
    opportunities to sell all products (be product agnostic in client
    engagements when identifying solution opportunities) with particular focus
    on strategic products like Corporate Finance, Capital Market and FM
    solutions.
  • Work
    alongside product, functional and industry specialists to provide tailored
    client solutions and increase cross sell.
  • Execute
    transactions working in close co-ordination with product partners.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:  
  • The
    Standard Chartered Bank Relationship Manager – Local Corporates should
    have prior experience in either Capital Markets, Corporate Finance or
    Equity Market preferred.
  • Skills
    in maximizing revenue (including RoRWA).
  • Ability
    to cross sell.
  • Quality
    of calling including deals originated.
  • Excellent
    modelling and credit skills.
  • Possess
    the ability to work across multi-cultural and diverse client base.
