Mechanic will be in charge of the installation, diagnostic efforts, repairs and
maintain service operations by inspecting and maintaining waste treatment
equipment and other equipment for the Oil Company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In charge of practical maintenance work,
installation, service and repair/overhauling of varied range of equipment in
the plant.
Conduct fault diagnosis and carry out forward
planning on assigned work/task.
Ensure spares or materials lists are available and
ready for work assigned including the needed tools to carry out the service.
Work closely with the supervisor for any needs or
issues in the performance of the work
Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting
and testing.
Maintains equipment functional condition by
conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical systems
malfunctions, replacing parts and components repairing body damage.
Complies with state and industrial relevant
requirements.
Maintains equipment appearance by cleaning,
washing, and painting.
Maintains equipment records by recording service
and repairs.
Contains costs by using warranty evaluating
service and parts options.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock placing
orders verifying receipt.
Skills and Experience:
The Plant Mechanic must have attained formal education
or technical training in a field related to mechanical engineering through a
recognized trade union, technical school or equivalent with a diploma
A minimum of three years’ experience in the repair
and maintenance of waste treatment equipment, standby generator and other
equipment.
Excellent technical abilities
Time Management skills
Knowledge of Independence Safety Management
Skills in Problem Solving with complex mechanical
issues and Analyzing Information.
