Job Summary: The Database
Administrator (DBA) will be mainly responsible for the performance, integrity
and security of Metropol databases. The incumbent will actively participate in
the planning and development of the database as well as troubleshooting any
issues on behalf of the users.

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for this IT placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree or
Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or a
related field. - A
minimum of five years’ experience in database management with a focus in
Oracle, Postgres and MySQL databases, information technology management,
policy and security. - The
applicant must hold professional Database management certification from a
recognized institution - The
applicant must have undergone appropriate training in Database Management
specifically in Oracle, Postgres and MySQL databases - Ability
to work independently and to take emergent decisions on his/her own. - Ability
to work long hours including weekends and public holidays - Clean
criminal record supported by a certificate of good conduct issued by the
Ugandan Police.
