Job Summary: The Accountant
will be in charge of carrying out all financial
transactions, preparation of financial records and financial reports in
accordance with the International Acceptable Accounting Standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The
Accountant will manage payables and receivables registered by the company - In
charge of the preparation of monthly cash flow statements for the company - Draft
budgets for the company and plan daily cash flow expenditures for the
company and the branches - Keenly
analyse branch expenses and approve budgets for the branches - Responsible
for the preparation of accurate financial reports and statements on a
monthly basis - File
monthly returns for the company. - The
incumbent will be tasked to prepare payment vouchers attaching all the
necessary documents for approval by the Finance Manager - In
charge of petty cash management and ensure accountability in line with the
petty cash policy of the fund. - Archive
financial reports and other financial records of the company and retrieve
such records upon request by management - Prepare
and administer the monthly payroll in coordination and close consultation
with the Human Resource function of the company.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for this vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Commerce or Business Administration or Accounting or Financial Management
or equivalent qualifications. - The
applicant must be pursuing a professional course in ACCA OR CPA
(preferably completed Level 2) - At
least two years’
experience gained in a reputable company - Computer
literacy skills - Excellent
communication skills - Ability
to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met without compromising on quality - Demonstrate
team leadership and good organization skills - Excellent
analytical skills
