Job
Summary:
 The ICCO Financial Administrator
will be responsible for efficiently managing the finances, accounting and
reporting requirements at the Kampala office hence becoming effective in supporting
staff & management in this area. Working closely with the Global Office
finance department, the incumbent will ensure proper books of accounts are
maintained.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Contribute to an organizational culture of
transparency and honesty in financial reporting aspects in ICCO Cooperation
·        
In charge of providing efficient and effective
Bank duties including cheque writing, banking, withdrawals, and bank
reconciliations, on a monthly basis.
·        
Ensure timely reconciliation of all balance sheet
accounts as outlined in ICCO’s accounting system – MS-Dynamics, on a monthly
basis.
·        
Handle all advances on time, and ensure that
Travel advances/other advances & accountabilities are reconciled monthly
for review and approval by the manager.
·        
Book expenses in MS-Dynamics and compile office
monthly expenditure including variance analysis reports.
·        
Compile monthly liquidity requests & cash flow
projections in a timely manner.
·        
Maintain and keep up to date books of accounts of
the office & ongoing program costs, as per finance and administrations
manual.
·        
Ensure accurate allocation of costs to cost
centers and projects, and provide monthly expenditure reports to cost-center
mangers.
·        
Compute operational program cost and overheads to
charge to programs.
·        
In charge of payroll administration and ensuring
staff are paid in a timely manner, as per policy manual.
·        
Contribute to the annual budgeting cycle and
producing reports on request.
·        
Actively facilitate both Internal & External
audits annually.
·        
Timely processing of payments and monthly
reconciliation of Payables and receivables accounts.
·        
Work closely with colleagues in other offices in
the region to ensure timely monthly closure of accounts and in close contact
with Global office.
·        
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the
Finance and Administration Manager
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience: 
·        
The incumbent should hold a degree in Commerce or
Accounting or any related course
·        
Professional accounting qualification i.e. ACCA/CPA
Level two.
·        
A minimum of five years’ experience in real
accounting work in a busy environment.
·        
Computer skills with knowledge of any accounting
package.
·        
Excellent language skills in English and a
regional language, and good interpersonal skills.
