Institute (IDI) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to build capacity
of health systems in Africa with strong emphasis on infectious diseases through
research, and capacity development. IDI has five operational areas through
which it works to achieve its mission: Prevention, Care and Treatment; Training,
Research and Laboratory services (provided through a partnership with the Makerere
University-John Hopkins University Core Lab) and Outreach.

these Academies is the Ugandan Academy for Health Innovation and Impact (the

program will consist of a collection of projects proposed by Ugandan health partners
and selected competitively to support HIV and JB research, capacity development
and clinical management.

Responsibilities:
- Direct,
design, and produce all IDI e-learning materials in collaboration with the
technical trainers Maintain and update the learning management system
(LMS) - Actively
facilitate productive networking and collaboration with relevant partners
and stakeholders in the distance learning sphere - Proactively
expand relevant open source materials to be included in IDI’s e-learning
repository - Regularly
revise existing curricula for the various e-learning courses and modules
provided by IDI - Take
on any other Training Department duties as assigned
Experience:
- The
e-Learning Officer should preferably hold a Degree in Education, Instructional
Design, Instructional Technology, or other related field - Strong written
communication skills - Significant
experience with Articulate Studio, or similar course authoring software - Prior
experience with Moodle, or similar Learning Management Systems - Curriculum
development experience - Instructional
design experience - Exceptional
PowerPoint skills - Keen
attention to detail - Willingness
to learn and ability to work under pressure - Excellent
interpersonal and teamwork skills - Fluency
in both written and spoken English
