Job Summary: The Driver will support LWR Uganda’s staff
in Kampala with their transportation needs.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Drives
office vehicle for the transport of authorized personnel and delivery and
collection of mail, documents, supplies and other items. - In
charge of the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, checks oil,
water, battery, brakes, tires, etc., performs minor repairs and ensure all
routine maintenance and needed repair procedures are completed in a timely
manner - Ensures
that the vehicle is kept clean. - Ensure
the day to day security of the vehicle while on official travel/duty. - Observes
LWR security regulations as outlined in the LWR Uganda Safety and Security
Plan and following instructions of Security Focal Person - Observes
LWR vehicle policy - Makes
sure that the steps required by Ugandan rules and regulations as well as
LWR procedures are taken, in case of involvement in an accident. - Logs
official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing,
etc. - Perform
any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The
applicant should hold an ordinary level certificate of Education. - Possess
a Valid driver’s license – licensed to drive Passenger Service Vehicle - At
least five years’ experience working with a reputable organization with a
clean driving record. - Prior
experience driving various makes of cars and ability to drive manual
transmission. - Skills
in minor vehicle repair and maintenance. - Familiarity
with Kampala area roads and frequently traveled routes. - Ability
to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform
effectively as a member of a team. - Discrete
and ability to maintain confidential information. - Excellent
time management and planning capacity. - Basic
computer skills and excellent documentation skills. - Availability
and willingness to work flexible and additional hours as needed. - Advanced
written and spoken English. - Ability
to travel up to 50% of his/her time within Uganda. - Existing
authorization to work in Uganda; Ugandan national preferred. - Exhibit
