Union (UNATU) exists to promote and protect the social, intellectual, economic
and professional interests of its members/teachers as a per-requisite to
enhancing the status of teaching profession.
Driver will be in charge of operating the UNATU’s motor vehicles and carrying
out courier functions.
Responsibilities:
- The
incumbent will be tasked with transporting employees, members and other
authorized persons in accordance
with UNATU Vehicle control policy and Road Safety Act; - Carry
out regular preventive maintenance and basic repairs in order to keep the
vehicle in good mechanical and functional conditions; - Maintain
documentation for administrative use such as mileage, fuel usage and trip
authorization tracking information; - Provide
all reasonable measures to protect the vehicle from theft or damage; - Updating
and maintaining a system for tracking vehicle service and updating as
appropriate; - Carry
out any other duties assigned to him/her by the relevant authorities from
time to time.
Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for the UNATU Driver Job should hold an Ordinary Level
Certificate with credits in Mathematics and English. - Possess
a clean and valid driving permit class B, CM and DL. - Possession
of a certificate in defensive driving will be an added advantage. - A
minimum of five or more years of practical and progressive experience in
similar role in a reputable organization - Age: Below 50 years.
