its valuable client, i Engineering
Group, a Provider of end-to-end engineering infrastructure solutions to the
telecommunications and power industries across Africa, the Middle East and
Southeast Asia.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Oversees
    all works related to his/her assigned maintenance project(s) and ensures
    that they are executed in accordance with client’s specifications.
  • Takes
    overall responsibility for smooth operation of the managed services
    project, coordination with client and OHS & Quality representatives.
  • Ensures
    preventive maintenance is planned, executed, monitored and follows up with
    issues found till closure.
  • Manages
    that emergencies are attended and closed within SLA (Service Level
    Agreement) & equipment is operating within KPIs (Key performance
    indicators).
  • Routinely
    communicates and agrees with the client for penalties, warnings, etc. in
    case violation of SLA and plans for improvement to minimize penalties or
    SLA violation.
  • Ensures
    that Corrective maintenance is planned and executed within target time.
  • Implements
    technical, installation, corrective, preventative maintenance standards
    according to guidelines.
  • Inspects
    the quality of the equipment and undertakes site inspection to determine
    if they are complying with government regulations, client requirements
    & industry standards.
  • Keenly
    analyses resources requirements, acquires, monitors and makes suggestions
    or improvements accordingly. Resources include but not limited to Human,
    tools, equipment & transportation.
  • Evaluates
    field staff and quality of works through personal inspections & other
    means.
  • Arranges
    internal and external scheduled meetings (as per MS project requirement)
    covering all areas from quality, status, progress, logistics and reporting
    based on SLAs and KPIs, and suggests improvements.
  • Demonstrates
    the ability to think critically and proactively, anticipates risks and
    prepares solutions in advance.
  • Ensures
    timely spares procurement, ordering and availability in the stock and
    field according to the project’s requirement.
  • Ensures
    that site security is well managed, monitored and updated based on risk
    levels of the site.
  • Implements
    efficient fuel management system e.g. forecasting, delivery, consumption,
    monitoring and controlling.
  • Coordinates
    with the MS Supervisor and other concerned staff for analysis, reporting
    and improvement plans, in accordance with client and SLA requirement.
  • Prepares
    annual MS budgets for his/her operation and shares with his direct
    supervisor.
  • Monitors
    costs and ensures expenses are within allocated budget.
  • Ensures
    that all client reports are submitted on timely manner, agreed and acted.
  • Follows
    up on client’s payments and reports status to the MS Head according to i
    engineering’s internal procedures.
  • Supervises
    and follows up on all documentation related to the MS project.
  • Coaches
    and develops the MS Supervisors and teams assigned to him/her.
  • Ensures
    that all projects activities adhere to all OH&S and QMS standards.
  • Ensures
    that company’s procedures are implemented and followed. Suggests
    improvement if necessary.
  • Responsible
    for availability, implementation and follow-up of standard procedures and
    processes (Technical and organizational).
  • Proactively
    reviews processes, documentation and procedures to keep updated on
    operational activities.
  • Coordinates
    efforts with all sections of the company (Procurement & Logistics, HR
    and Accounts) as per i engineering’s internal procedures.
  • Regularly
    reviews OHS reports from field or regional supervisors, evaluates and
    suggests improvements using i engineering’s reporting formats and
    procedures.
  • Monitors
    the Site Safety Induction sheet filled by subcontractors, and manages them
    according to policy.
  • Checks
    that the incident investigation reports are filled.
  • Ensures
    that adequate PPE is used by both i engineering teams and Subcontractors
  • Requests
    for the replacement of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)’s when
    required.
  • Ensures
    that safe work procedures are being adhered to by team members.
  • Deals
    directly with the client’s representative on all OH&S matters when
    required.
  • Prepares
    and distributes a variety of reports as requested by Head.
  • Be
    responsible for the application, compliance and regular updating of the
    security plan in place both by the local team and by visitors.
  • Ensures
    visitors receive a proper security and context briefing and monitors the
    security adherence.
  • Provides
    the general coordination with security-related feedback and systematically
    report in writing any security incident involving the teams.
  • Investigates
    accidents, incidents, and hazards and implements the necessary corrective
    and preventive actions to mitigate incidents, accidents and hazards.
  • Ensures
    that all placards are clear, clean and well maintained.
  • Provides
    training to enhance the OHSAS knowledge and competence.
  • Conducts
    emergency preparedness drills on a regular basis.
  • Conducts
    regular site inspections.
  • Monitors
    hazard controls (PPE, engineering controls, policies, procedures).
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The
    incumbent should hold a Bachelor degree in Electrical, Civil or IT or
    related field.
  • At
    least five’ years managerial experience
  • At
    least five years field work or relevant experience.
  • Multi
    task person, be well organized and have the ability to work well under
    pressure.
  • Must
    be comfortable with handling multiple projects and assignments with strict
    deadlines.
  • Team
    leader, ability to negotiate
  • Decision
    making skills
  • Ability
    to work independently
