International (AAIN) became Aktion Africa Hilfe e. V (AAH) and was registered
in Munich, Germany from where our founders in 2003 moved the organisation’s
headquarters to Kenya. AAH-I now works with refugees, host communities and
other marginalized and vulnerable groups in Kenya, Uganda, Somalia and South
Sudan, where it operates across a range of sectors that seek to bridge relief
to development.
AAH-I to implement, monitor Human resource policies and procedures and provide
administrative support to the programme team in coordination with the Kampala
Country office in line with AAH-Uganda policies and procedures.
- Organise
the notice boards at the reception area and outside the entrance to the
office, regularly displaying important and useful information for the
attention of members of staff and visitors. - Oversee
Travel and Accommodation Bookings for field staff on official duties and
prepare all invoices and supporting documentation for payment in line with
AAH Uganda policy and guidelines - Offer
technical support during recruitment process through following up on
confirmation of attendance with candidates, preparing interview venues,
administering forms, welcoming candidates and new staff in line with the AAH-U
HR policy and guidelines. - Oversee
the office supplies store to track stocks, requisition for replenishment
and produce a monthly stock report for review by the Area Manager and
Logistics Assistant, in line with AAH Uganda stock management guidelines. - Implement
and monitor staff induction and orientation programs and Job postings of
new staff in line with Human Resources guidelines of AAH-Uganda. - Prepare
and disburse temporary staff contracts in line with departmental and AAH-
Uganda policies and procedures. - Actively
monitor the implementation of the existing human resource performance
management measures in line with the human resource policies and
procedures of AAH-Uganda. - Update
and maintain the information management system (Monthly HR field report,
leave updates, time sheet management, and disciplinary records) of
AAH-Uganda in line with the Human Resource Unit guidelines.
Experience:
- The
Human Resource Assistant should have three years’ experience in a similar
position in a busy office with one year’ experience in an NGO - Computer
literacy skills i.e. familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel packages. - Working
knowledge of Email - Excellent
numeracy skills - Good
oral and written English - Pleasant
and courteous personality - Efficient
and organized - Possesses
initiative and able to work with minimum supervision - Ability
to work under pressure - Highly
flexible
