Youth Project
Uganda
Non-Governmental Organization that helps families and children orphaned and
made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS to access the comprehensive support and care they
need to grow into healthy adults.
Education is implementing the USAID’s Better Outcomes for Children and Youth in
Eastern and Northern Uganda program—a $24.5 million program with a large sub
grant component. The Program is being implemented across 13 districts in
Eastern and Northern Uganda. Better Outcomes works with families, communities,
Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Local Government and the private sector to
address the long-term, comprehensive needs of vulnerable children and families
through improved OVC service delivery.
Assist
the Program Manager and program team in all aspects of technical, management
and logistics needs
Coordinate
and support the regional program officers with all aspects of program
implementation
Technically
support technical review meetings with regional team and partners to ensure
that program is on track for meeting targets
Develop
and support ongoing program improvement processes
Experience:
The
ideal candidate for the USAID OVC Project career opportunity should hold a BA/BS
in development or related studies
Past
experience with OVC and HIV or other related programming
At
least three years project management experience
Good
knowledge and understanding of administration, finance and logistical/
procurement management
Excellent
communication skills
Possess
the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
Computer
literacy skills i.e. Knowledge of Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, and
Internet) required
