distribution of electricity across Uganda, distributing 99% of electricity in
Uganda through a single buyer model.
Job Summary:  The
Engineering Capability Specialist will actively coordinate effective
organizational-wide technical training initiatives, guide the design of relevant
technical curriculum and the process of skilling the faculty of facilitators.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        
Steer
the organization-wide technical training needs/skills gap analysis to identify
learning opportunities and advice on suitable learning solutions.
·        
Technically
support designing, planning and implementing of technical learning solutions
aligned to the Engineering business plan.
·        
Render
support in the analysis and development of Umeme’s technical program curricula.
·        
Work
closely with Training School principal to support successful operations of
overall intended objectives.
·        
Guide
the development and implementation of technical apprenticeship and graduate
development programs and experiences
·        
Work
with the Talent Manager to align Engineering capability development with the
company wide training initiatives.
·        
Guide
the development of an internal faculty of internal facilitators to build
capacity to deliver internally facilitated interventions
·        
Regularly
interacts with Middle level management, Senior Management, agencies and sector
players to facilitate awareness of role and support levels required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
·        
The ideal
candidate for the Engineering Capability Specialist should hold a B.Sc.
Electrical Engineering with proven experience in delivering, evaluating
technical trainings.
·        
Proven
ability to develop and deliver tailored technical learning solutions.
·        
Demonstrate
strong organizational and management skills with experience in innovation,
research and development skills.
