About US:
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is established as a
Statutory Body under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210,  Laws of Uganda 2000 Edition. The Bureau is a
key player in commercial and civil registrations that facilitate private sector
development and vital statistics for national planning.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • In charge of identifying and engaging all
    stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the formulation of short-term,
    medium-term and long-term plans/strategic plans;
  • Support the formulation of URSB Strategic
    Plan, operational plans and Budgets
  • Compile, analyze and review plan
    performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to take corrective
    measures for successful implementation of the plans
  • In charge of compiling and analyzing data
    as may be required.
  • Provide technical support to various
    Directorates in regard to planning functions.
  • Perform any other duties as may be
    assigned by the higher authority
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Short-term, medium-term and long-term plans/strategic
    plans formulated.
  • URSB operational plans and Budgets
    formulated.
  • Performance reviews on a monthly,
    quarterly and annual basis prepared.
  • Planning technical assistance rendered to
    various Directorates.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The Senior Planner should hold an Honors
    Degree in Economics or planning or development studies. Possession of a
    Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
  • At least five years working experience in
    planning, monitoring and evaluation or relevant field in public or private
    organizations.
  • Computer literacy skills especially in
    Microsoft office applications and specialized computer programs in project
    planning
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
