Wazalendo Savings and Credit Co-Operative
Society Limited (SACCO) is an Institutional SACCO composed of UPDF personnel,
their families, Reserve Forces and Staff of Ministry of Defence (MOD). It is
affiliated to Uganda Co-operative Savings and Credit Union Ltd (UCSCU) and
Uganda Co-operative Alliance (UCA).
Job Summary: The Marketing Manager will oversee the
marketing activities and the long term marketing strategy for Wazalendo SACCO.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Responsible
for formulating a marketing policy;
·        
In
charge of planning and coordinating the development and review annual marketing
and product development plan in line with business plan and policies;
·        
In
charge of the development and coordination of research and market information
systems and make recommendations / adjustments in line with the business plan;
·        
Working
closely with the communications department to drive both internal and external
inter-relationships;
·        
Co-ordinating
marketing campaigns with sales activities;
·        
Managing
the SACCO’s marketing budget;
·        
Ensure
the planning, coordinating and monitoring the development the development of
new innovative products and services along members segments;
·        
Creating
and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans;
·        
Identifying,
developing, planning and expanding institutional products and services close to
members;
·        
Carrying
out member recruitment drives and intensive marketing;
·        
In
charge of educating and sensitising prospective customers about the SACCO
products;
·        
Responsible
for developing and implementing members’ education programme;
·        
Developing
a training and education manual (Policies and Procedures);
·        
In
charge of updating and maintain the SACCO website with the current products and
services;
·        
Responsible
for monitoring and reporting on effectiveness of marketing communications;
·        
Coordinating
training of staff in effective marketing skills as well and implement a system
of coaching in effective relationship management skills; and
·        
Ensure
proper planning, coordinating, and supervising the functions of member
education, research and development and monitoring and evaluation.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The
applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in marketing
·        
Be a
Qualified chartered or certified marketer
·        
Excellent
analytical and project management skills
·        
Strategic
thinking ability
·        
Confident
and dynamic personality
·        
Strong
creative outlook
