Systems for Treating AIDS Nationally (SUSTAIN) Project

services, and health education worldwide. With a non-profit affiliate, the
Center for Human Services (CHS), URC manages projects in over 45 countries,
including the United States.
US-based public health organization working in Uganda since 2005, is
implementing the USAID-funded Strengthening Uganda’s Systems for Treating AIDS
Nationally (SUSTAIN) project. The project supports delivery of quality HIV
prevention, treatment, care and laboratory services at selected regional
referral and general hospitals.
for Data entry into project and other stakeholders’ databases, and compilation
of numerical reports on consistency and reporting rates for supported sites
Carry
out routine data entry into the following systems; SUSTAIN Training Information
Management system (STIMS) and The USAID web enabled training database (TRAINET)
The incumbent
will manage the Quality Improvement (QI) database and perform analysis of QI
data as requested by the QI team.
Work
closely with the supported health facility QI teams to ensure that QI reports
are timely submitted to the SUSTAIN M&E department.
Routinely
follow-up with the supported health facilities to ensure that monthly and
quarterly HMIS reports are timely entered into the District Health Information
System II (DHIS2).
Prepare
monthly and quarterly DHIS2 health facility specific reporting rates.
Carry
out an analysis on accuracy of data entered into DHIS2 and the reports
submitted to SUSTAIN.
Actively
communicate inconsistencies in DHIS2 and SUSTAIN reports for the supported
health facilities and also follow-up with the health facilities to ensure that
the inconsistencies are addressed.
Perform
any other related duties as may be assigned
The Data
Assistant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics,
Quantitative Economics, Social Sciences or related field
At
least one year of relevant experience in data entry especially in the health
sector
Strong
knowledge and skills in use of computer applications especially Excel and
Access
Keen
attention to detail, especially regarding data accuracy.
Working
knowledge and skills in mechanisms to ensure data safety and quality
Excellent
communication skills
