MSC:
The
Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC) is a linchpin of Government of Uganda
(GOU) micro
credit programmes under the Rural Financial Services Strategy. MSC facilitates
access to affordable, sustainable and convenient financial and Business
Development services to active and productive Ugandans. MSC Ltd supports
legally established entities engaged in the value chain namely; production,
value addition and marketing enterprises. MSC offers affordable credit through
its network of 13 regional offices spread throughout the country. It has so far
served clients in 110 districts in Uganda. It gives priority financing to
support the agricultural production value chain namely; production, value
addition and marketing.  Besides credit,
MSC provides capacity building to its clients including SACCOs, Cooperative
Unions, MFIs and SMEs to enable them manage their organizations sustainably.
Job
Summary:
 The Administrative Assistant (Fleet) will
be responsible for providing support to the head of Administration in managing
fleet costs through best fleet management policies, practices & systems.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Organize the fleet allocation schedule with
departmental work plans and ensure well-coordinated field trips
·        
Work closely with the head of Administration to
implement the transport policy guidelines and procedures including maintaining
and tracking the records of movement, refueling, repair and service of the
company fleet.
·        
Ensure fleet management module in Solomon is used
to regularly report about fleet management costs (repair, service, average
monthly fuel consumption rate per fleet among others.
·        
Provide leadership and supervision to Logistics
Assistants including monitoring performance and conduct of LAs.
·        
Coach, mentor and support the internal staff to
ensure continuity in fleet management after six months.
·        
Review accountabilities and requisitioning fuel
for company vehicles.
·        
Work with LAs to ensure that the company fleet is
well maintained and serviced, initiate vehicle service and repair processes and
originate requests for payment to suppliers
·        
Maintain proper records for fuel allocation,
service and repairs of the entire fleet
·        
Responsible for administrative and logistical
support for the zonal office
Key

management and fleet allocation schedule.

Leadership and supervision
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience: 
·        
The Administrative Assistant (Fleet) should hold a
Degree (Honors) in Business Administration, Economics, B.com, Transport and
Logistics Management or any other related discipline.
·        
At least two years’ experience in general
administration with exposure in fleet management and setting up fleet
management systems is a must.
·        
Additional certificate in fleet management is
desirable.
·        
Possess the ability to interact with automated
fleet management system and having mechanical skills will be an added
advantage.
·        
Excellent interpersonal skills
·        
Computer Proficiency i.e. competency in the use of
MS-Office
Age: Between 25
and 40 years.
