National Housing & Construction Corporation, a parastatal involved in real
estate business has 5% shareholding and National Social Security Fund (NSSF)
holds 50% and the Government of Uganda holds 45%. Today, the bank looks back
with pride on the business accomplished in the mortgage lending business.

90% market share.
Job
Summary:
The Housing Finance Bank Foreign Exchange Dealer will be tasked with generating
foreign exchange trading income through trading in foreign currencies on behalf
of the Bank within the risk management frame work and strategy of the bank.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Set Competitive foreign exchange rates based on
market variables and update them immediately in case of any substantial
changes.  
·        
Responsible for circulating foreign exchange rates
to all branches in a timely manner and monitor compliance to the same.
·        
Responsible for monitoring the Bank’s foreign
currency exposures so as to ensure they are within the bank and regulatory limits.
·        
Initiate contact with customers and counter party
Banks to generate a substantial turn over to generate dealing revenues so as to
achieve the set targets.
·        
Actively monitor the Bank’s requisite balances on
the nostro accounts for settlements.
·        
Continually keep in touch with customers with a
view to understand their needs, propose and implement solutions to these
diverse needs.
·        
Stay abreast with market variables that affects
foreign currency rate movements and accordingly.
·        
Devise and implement strategies of growing trading
volumes and revenues.
·        
Responsible for managing the Risks in Foreign
exchange trading in line with regulatory guidelines.
·        
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head
of Treasury.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience: 
·        
The ideal candidate for the Housing Finance Bank
Foreign Exchange Dealer career opportunity should hold a bachelor’s degree in a
business related field from a recognised University.
·        
ACI dealing Certificate Experience
·        
At least three years’ experience as a dealer with
a commercial bank.
·        
Detailed knowledge and understanding of financial
markets.
·        
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all
Treasury and general banking products
·        
Foreign currency trading skills
·        
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
·        
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·        
Good negotiation skills
·        
Skills in relationship management
·        
A high level of integrity.
