About US:
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is established as a
Statutory Body under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210,  Laws of Uganda 2000 Edition. The Bureau is a
key player in commercial and civil registrations that facilitate private sector
development and vital statistics for national planning.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Support the Senior Records Officer and
    Records Officer in the day-to-day operations of the Registry.
  • In charge of retrieving and conducting
    searches for files assigned to them by the Senior Records Officer.
  • Stamp documents assigned to them for registration.
  • File documents on relevant files and
    forward them for action by relevant officers.
  • Perform any duties assigned by the Senior
    Records Officer and Records Officer.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • New files opened and documents filed.
  • Documents stamped and processed and
    forwarded to action officers.
  • Files retrieved and stamped for action
    officers.
  • Supervise data entry.
  • Collect files from action officers and
    take them back to the registry for shelving.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Assistant
    Records Officer job should hold an Honors Degree in Librarianship and
    Information Science or Records Management and
  • A minimum of three years’ relevant
    experience in records Management in a busy registry.
  • Records Management skills
  • Computer literacy skills.
