WEI/Bantwana Initiative is a
Non-Governmental Organization that helps families and children orphaned and
made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS to access the comprehensive support and care they
need to grow into healthy adults.
About USAID Project:
The Bantwana Initiative of World
Education is implementing the USAID’s Better Outcomes for Children and Youth in
Eastern and Northern Uganda program—a $24.5 million program with a large sub
grant component. The Program is being implemented across 13 districts in
Eastern and Northern Uganda. Better Outcomes works with families, communities,
Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Local Government and the private sector to
address the long-term, comprehensive needs of vulnerable children and families
through improved OVC service delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Actively
support project implementation of integrated OVC service delivery interventions
in defined regions
·        
Work
in liaison with the project senior technical staff to manage the project
implementation in target districts and coordinate with other program partners
and stakeholders
·        
Support
project monitoring and evaluation and work with partners to deliver quality
programming and set up sound M&E reporting systems
·        
Build
and strengthen working relationships with districts and communities.
·        
Support
government and CSO partners in program planning and implementation
·        
Support
all aspects of report writing
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The
USAID Project Program Officer should hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Work,
Community Development or related field
·        
Past
experience in OVC and HIV-related programming for children and youth
·        
Possess
excellent communication, interpersonal and critical analysis skills
·        
Fluency
in local language and added advantage
·        
Computer
literacy skills i.e. PowerPoint, Word and Excel
