Job Summary: The Director of Training and Research will provide
overall leadership and coordination in training and research and information
management

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will lead the Directorate of
Training and Research. - Guide the Executive Directorate of
Training and Research. - Develop training programme for the
Directorate. - Actively coordinate training programmes
for the Authority. - In charge of preparing annual work plans
and budgets for the Directorate - Define a research agenda and prepare
research topics related to the mandate of the Authority and relevant to
the development needs of the country. - Perform any other duties as assigned by
management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
an Honors Bachelor in Natural Sciences and a Masters’ degree in
Meteorology or related fields (Environmental studies, Agriculture,
Forestry, Hydrology & Atmospheric Sciences). Additional training in
either Public Administration, Business Administration or Management
Studies is an added advantage - A minimum of eight years’ experience in a
related field with a reputable organization, 2 years of which should be at
a senior managerial level
