Job Summary: The Data Warehousing Officer will primarily
administer, develop, implement, and maintain the Uganda National Examinations
Board Data Warehouse/ Business Intelligence systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed analysis, design, tuning,
testing, implementation and documentation of the data warehouse and
business intelligence systems - Manage key department business
intelligence applications and data warehouse acting as the technical
liaison for data warehouse / business intelligence issues Provide front
line support within a network environment of clients interfacing with server,
internet, and PC based business intelligence systems - Work in liaison with the business stake
holders to further enhance the data warehouse / business intelligence
environments to meet operational objectives - Collaboratively support other ICT team members
to help design, develop and implement business intelligence applications - Design and build Extract, Transform, and
Load (ETL) workflows resulting in either a systems integration and / or
business intelligence source table from multiple data sources - Provide technical and systems design
expertise in the development of new and maintenance of existing databases
Utilize the ETL system to manage data warehouse accuracy, quality and
integrity - Design, build and publish business
intelligence reporting and / or dashboards across various platforms
including SharePoint, email, excel, etc. - Responsible for data warehouse / business
intelligence quality testing, stakeholder approval and user acceptance
testing - Test, install and deploy all databases and
stored procedures to production servers - Manage database and business intelligence
application security and user logins - Must maintain strict quality control over
data analysis and information delivery in a fast paced environment
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Data Warehousing Officer should
possess an Honour’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or
Statistics, or Physics/ Mathematics, or Commerce. - Possession of a Post graduate
qualification in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent and
relevant professional certification such as Microsoft Certified Solution
Developer (MCSD), Oracle Certified Developer (OCD), MCDBA or equivalent
will be an added advantage. - Should be familiar with operating systems
such as windows 2003 server, windows XP, UMX/Linux Database platform such
as MS SQL server and Oracle RDBMS, Microsoft Visio. net environment. - At least three years’ experience working
with development business application for a large corporate. - Working knowledge of data warehousing
methodologies and industry’s best practice.
