and Administration Officer will be responsible for a variety of administrative
and finance-related tasks.
- The incumbent will be tasked with the
preparation of bank payments - Intuitively check and encode accounting
transactions - Ensure the timely accounting closing every
month - Expeditiously follow up on advances
- Ensure the proper filing of all accounting
documents - Make follow up of contracts, commitments
and public procurements - He / she will be in charge of preparing
the monthly payroll - Follow up on insurances and legal
litigations - Actively monitor cash positions
- Perform financial analysis and ad-hoc
studies - Perform accountability checks on the
contracts with Local Governments
- The applicant should possess a bachelor’s
degree in accounting, finance and/or administration or related field ACCA,
CPA, CIMA or similar is an added advantage - At least five years’ experience in
accounting, preferably in a similar position - Working knowledge of and experience with
tax related matters in Uganda - Previous experience with an international
organization or NGO experience is an added advantage - Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency
in Microsoft Excel and word is essential - Past experience working with Local
Government and Ministries is an added advantage - Excellent communication skills and a good
team player - Ability to work independently and under
stressful conditions
