the business development unit, execute annual business growth targets and
provide periodic reports on the progress of the unit projects. The incumbent
will also initiate ideas for designing and improving the current VFU products,
business plan, marketing tools and reports for both local and VFI use. He /she
also coordinates integration with WVU and execute special WVU projects, through
ADPs and other distribution centers.
- Perform market research on the
effectiveness of the existing and potential products suitable for the
market and its insights. - The incumbent will continuously improve
VFU marketing strategy to suit the ever changing client needs - Conduct product launches/campaigns in the
communities - Avail branded marketing communications for
the company website and distribution of printed communication, and
advertising. - Carry out regular market/product
competition Analysis - Provide forecasts for growth in the
branches and work out suitable execution strategies to achieve the
intended growth targets - Regularly analyze growth trends and advice
management on affirmative action’s required - Prepare the annual budget for growth and
schedule expenditures; analyzing variances; as well as initiating
corrective actions. - Accomplishes marketing and sales
objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating
advertising, trade promotion programs and developing field sales action
plans. - Rigorously improve product marketability
and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market
opportunities; improving product delivery TAT ; coordinating new product
development. - Perform any other duties assigned from
time to time
- The idea candidate should preferably hold
a Higher diploma in Marketing or Masters / Degree in Business
Administration will be of added value - At least three years or more in the
Marketing in a microfinance organization - Detailed knowledge, understanding and deep
insights into Product development and formulation of marketing strategies - Good knowledge of the local and VF
regulatory requirements under which VF MFI operates. - Determined personality with initiative,
perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team - Ready to comply and live up to and in
accordance with the organization Ideals and Core Values - Be proficient in computer skills and
applications - A good trainer, facilitator, mentor, coach
and ability to motivate teams - Possess excellent communication and
presentation skills - Good knowledge and experience in proposal
writing and formulation of strategies - The applicant must be a committed
Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities - Ability to lead daily devotions
