across East, Central and Southern Africa requires suitable individuals to apply

co-ordinate and manage its integrated Sales, Quality and Logistics line
efforts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The incumbent manages the Plan, directs,
or coordinates purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting,
customer service, or planning services. - Quickly resolve problems concerning
transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues. - Mentor and supervise logistics personnel
and logistics systems and direct daily operations. - Create policies or procedures for
logistics activities. - Develop methods and procedures for
scheduling of raw materials from suppliers to support manufacturing in
achieving customer demand and minimizing cost impacts to UBL - Develop and maintain transportation system
on domestic and international freight that ensures business needs are met. - Safeguard warehouse operations and
contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. - Plan or implement material flow management
systems to meet production requirements. - Maintain metrics, reports, process
documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records. - Actively motivate, organize and encourage
teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should possess a
bachelor’s degree qualification in Business Administration,
Transportation, Logistics and / or Supply Chain Management - Four or more years’ experience in customer
service and logistics environment. - Excellent analytical, problem solving and
organizational skills - Excellent oral and written communication
skills - Proven ability to think independently and
handle multiple projects through to completion - Record of successfully collaborating with
and influencing senior management and peers - Proven ability to lead and manage staff
- Demonstrated independent work initiative,
sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical ability and professional demeanor - Able to perform financial calculations and
create and manage budgets
