BRAC, one of the largest Non-Governmental Development Organization in
the world, working in a number of countries in Africa and Asia on poverty
alleviation Programs, is registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The organization
implements integrated development approach combining Education, Health,
Agriculture, Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Actively participate in the entire
    recruitment and selection process of new staff
  • Prepare and issue contract letters to
    newly recruited staff, and draft orientation schedules for the new staffs
    joining.
  • The incumbent will ensure that all staffs
    have completed staff appraisal forms for every appraisal period and on
    time, and then file them accordingly.
  • Compile and complete lists of training
    needs for every staff member according to the needs assessment.
  • Process all HR related grievances in the
    respective programs, as the re¬sponsible person to that particular
    program, and submit monthly status and progress reports to the country
    lead HR and training.
  • Manage all exits (Job separation), and
    ensure all documents related to exits are properly filled and filed in the
    respective staff files.
  • Technically support organizational change
    initiative
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by
    the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The ideal candidate for this placement
    should hold a Bachelors’ degree in Human Resource management from a
    recognized University/ Institution.
  • One year of progressive work experience at
    officer level in the same and/or related field.
  • Computer knowledge especially the use of Microsoft
    Word & Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated team spirit and willingness
    to learn and travels up-country.
  • Excellent time management and problem
    solving skills.
  • Highly ethical in as far as observing
    organizational values and culture is concerned, with high levels of
    confidentiality.
