Kalangala Infrastructure Services (“KIS”) – US $50 million multi‐sector
infrastructure project, was established as a for profit utility company to
serve the population, institutions, and businesses of Bugala Island, the
largest of Uganda’s Ssese Islands on Lake Victoria.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In charge of preparing monthly, quarterly
and annual management accounts including business unit level variance
analyses - In charge of preparing monthly, quarterly
and annual performance reports - Prepare Lenders’ and Shareholder monthly,
quarterly and annual reports - Prepare the annual budget.
- Offer timely technical support to
department heads in their preparation of performance reports thru
development of standard templates for integration into company level
performance analysis and reporting - Responsible for modelling and analysing
future and current products/services to evaluate various initiatives and
strategic direction
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Management
Accountant vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a business related
subject, preferably accounting. Must be highly numerate - Professional qualification in accounting;
ACCA, CPA, CIMA or similar - At least five to ten years of relevant
work experience - Computer literacy skills i.e. advanced
level MS Excel skills. VBA skills a definite plus - Keen attention to detail and commitment to
excellence - Excellent verbal and written communication
skills - Ability to manage several projects and
priorities at once - Ability to work independently with general
direction and minimal hands on guidance (as appropriate) - Ability to confidently and appropriately
deal with individuals at all organizational levels and in various roles.
