Job Title:
    Management Accountant

Reports to: Finance Director
About Us:
Kalangala Infrastructure Services (“KIS”) – US $50 million multi‐sector
infrastructure project, was established as a for profit utility company to
serve the population, institutions, and businesses of Bugala Island, the
largest of Uganda’s Ssese Islands on Lake Victoria.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • In charge of preparing monthly, quarterly
    and annual management accounts including business unit level variance
    analyses
  • In charge of preparing monthly, quarterly
    and annual performance reports
  • Prepare Lenders’ and Shareholder monthly,
    quarterly and annual reports
  • Prepare the annual budget.
  • Offer timely technical support to
    department heads in their preparation of performance reports thru
    development of standard templates for integration into company level
    performance analysis and reporting
  • Responsible for modelling and analysing
    future and current products/services to evaluate various initiatives and
    strategic direction
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Management
    Accountant vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a business related
    subject, preferably accounting. Must be highly numerate
  • Professional qualification in accounting;
    ACCA, CPA, CIMA or similar
  • At least five to ten years of relevant
    work experience
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. advanced
    level MS Excel skills. VBA skills a definite plus
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to
    excellence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
    skills
  • Ability to manage several projects and
    priorities at once
  • Ability to work independently with general
    direction and minimal hands on guidance (as appropriate)
  • Ability to confidently and appropriately
    deal with individuals at all organizational levels and in various roles.
