Fields of Life is a charitable development organisation which is
committed to sharing the Christian faith by collaborating with local
communities and churches in East Africa to bring about positive change through
the provision of quality education, clean water, health promotion and other
community based projects. It has supported establishment of schools across East
Africa. The supported schools have become the hub of Fields of Life’s other
programmes like quality education, child sponsorship, water sanitation and
hygiene (WASH), and Christian outreach.
Job Summary:  The Education Coordinator will primarily focus
on supporting schools to improve Teaching and Learning and students’
educational outcomes. The incumbent will actively promote continuous professional
development in schools that will assist them holistically in areas including
financial management and governance, curriculum, co-curricular activities and
community engagement.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • In charge of developing and implementing
    the education strategy, with the aim of improving the quality of education
    programming
  • Responsible for designing the Education
    program including development of high quality concept notes and proposals
  • Offer quality technical support to
    education assessors, supported schools directors, SMCs and head teachers
  • Guide the process of effective assessments
    and monitoring, evaluation and learning systems.
  • Ensure the implementation of six standards
    of excellence in schools supported by FOL
  • Establish and manage effective partnership
    will be a key responsibility in the education program.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant should hold a relevant
    bachelors’ degree
  • Prior experience in developing education
    programs for formal and non-formal sector
  • Strong community education background and
    Early Childhood knowledge is essential.
  • Should be part of the existing education
    networks in the country.
