writing, developing or modifying business systems/databases to ensure data,
queries and reports can be captured, managed and maintained easily and
accurately.
- Administer, test and implement new or
modified systems/ - Actively monitor performance and control
access permissions and privileges. - Document and monitor operational, security
and maintenance procedures and contribute to reviews as appropriate in
order that continuity of service provision is maintained. - Ensure data security, storage, archiving,
backup recovery procedures are functioning correctly. - Enforce database security measures.
- Maintain a register of all critical and
sensitive storage backup media showing the times, dates and users who have
requested such media from the storage area.
- The candidates for the Database
Administrator should hold a
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in any other related course. - Hold professional qualifications i.e.
MCDBA, Microsoft SQL Server Certification, SQL, DBA and Knowledge of any
other DBMS like Oracle, MySQL etc. - A minimum of two or more years’ working
experience in related field - Good Grades in Mathematics at A ‘Level
(Either A, B or C). - Possess good customer awareness and
emotional intelligence skills - The ideal candidate should maintain
confidentiality, have Self- drive and confidence, be Proactive - Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills. - Possess business acumen
- Excellent public relation skills
- Ability to multi-tasking
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
